There are often domestic export anti-corrosion hot-dip galvanized steel wire rope products that are returned. Most of the reason is that the zinc layer content is unqualified. The key factor for this reason is the difference in technology. Most of the foreign galvanized steel wire ropes are drawn first and then later. The plating process is to first draw the steel wire to the target diameter and then perform galvanizing treatment, so that the zinc layer content can be controlled. In theory, any zinc layer can be obtained as required. Foreign galvanized steel wire rope products do not have electro-galvanized or hot-dip galvanized products. Only the zinc layer content is expressed in foreign countries with A or AB.
However, most domestic manufacturers adopt the method of first plating and then drawing, that is, the blank is galvanized first, and then the wire drawing is performed. The zinc layer content of the finished steel wire obtained in this way is very small, resulting in the electrogalvanized steel wire rope being outdoors for only a few months In the case of rust, the anti-rust hot-dip galvanized steel wire rope adopts the hot-dip galvanizing process. During galvanizing, a thick zinc-iron alloy layer is formed on the surface of the steel wire at high temperature. Rust and corrosion are greatly improved, which is a qualitative leap, but the zinc layer obtained as a result of galvanizing and then drawing is still limited and uncontrollable. At present, there are few domestic manufacturers that produce galvanized steel wire ropes in accordance with high-standard galvanizing processes.
In fact, this is related to the production cost. The production cost of rust-proof hot-dip galvanized steel wire rope according to the process of drawing first and then plating will greatly increase the production cost, resulting in excessively high product prices that are not suitable for the needs of the Chinese market.

According to the above reasons, the majority of users are recommended to use anti-corrosion hot-dip galvanized steel wire rope. Regardless of the cost performance or actual usage, hot-dip galvanized steel wire rope has great advantages over electro-galvanized steel wire rope.
